Thanks. That's good to know. I assume John Hood made it to Corinth with his regiment, but whether he participated in the Battle of Shiloh is unknown. I know Corinth was an unhealthy place before an after the battle (problems with the water supply among other things) and so he may have gotten sick there. Family history says he was treated there and then sent to a hospital in Macon, Mississippi. He died there in early June.
