Thanks everyone for your replies. Alan is correct, Rockville could not have been where he was, that is to far out of the line that McCook took trying to get back to Sherman's lines. I am going to assume that it is Rock Mills, which was in line with the escape route across the Chattahoochee River. I also assume that Thorntons was a community or farm. again thanks to everyone!
