I know very little about some of my, [Pruet, Allen, Gunn, Castleberry, Caldwell] ancestors, I am so glad I put a message on this message board, because I received information that was very useful to me.
My husband, John D., was a grandson to a "Civil War" soldier, His name was Moses Isenhower, He was only in the army four months and was killed. My husband passed away in 2008, he was a son of #2 wife of William Martin Isenhower. When Martin's son Jodie was filling out papers at the University of Texas, they said, "Son we do not want your grandfather, put your fathers name." Jodie replied: "He is my father."

I have not found a book by Bill Pruet. I looked up Bill Pruet , have not read all of them.
