Thanks for the good info on the raid that resulted in Tom Pointer's capture. I'll make the correction to 10th Ind, since I was going from memory when I wrote that post. . . .The scanner cut off the date on the document re the organization of the 12th Ala. Cav. It was dated January 12, 1864.
