Pvt. Albert Jackson, 78th USCT

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Albert E. Jackson, who served in Company A of the Seventy-eighth U.S. Colored Infantry. A shoemaker born in Alabama, he originally enlisted in the Sixth Corps d'Afrique in the fall of 1863. The government later designated this regiment as the Seventy-eighth. Any and all help appreciated.
