Yes, it appears we have similar information though possibly incomplete. A lot of my info does come from Prof Allen Cabaniss' book, though through my research I have come across some things that prove he was on the wrong trail for who was the father of Catherine Cabaniss's children (Marion, Rasmus, and Alexander Charles) who were born after Peter Randolph Cabaniss died in 1834. This is my line and all of us involved in trying to determine our origins Paternally, have hit dead ends.... Do you know where Catherine is buried? I have copies of the legal documents where Madison petitioned to be the executor of her estate. By the way she died sometime abt September of 1877. The papers were filed in Tuscaloosa and an ad was run on her behalf in one of the local Tuscaloosa papers, which I also have a copy. Unfortunately, I don't know where she is buried. The same with Madison. Supposedly he is buried at Dunn's Creek, but I have been all over that cemetery and can't find his grave. I could have missed it though.

I was speaking with a lady in our church, Ann Mills, who has a son that is married to Stephanie Green (now Mills), father Robert Green of Tuscaloosa. They are related to the same Greens you mention. Are you also from the Tuscaloosa area? Ann says she knows a Marcia Burke that was a school teacher. Any connections?

Ralph
