Elias Dozier - 1st Batt Ala Mil

Trying to reconcile the following records of "Elias Dozier."

Having previously located the following information:

Dozier, Elias
Private, Company C, 37th Regt Alabama Infantry
Age at Enlistment: 32/33 (born circa 1830)
Enlisted 18 May 1862 at Leon AL "for three years"; Appears on Muster Roll of Company C dated 13 May 1862 at Auburn AL; Disability Discharge: 30 July 1862 at Columbus MS/"Unfit for duty for 50 days: Fracture near elbow joint in audriposis (sic) been in feeble health for 10 years; 5’9" tall with black hair, gray eyes and a fair complexion"; Alabama Confederate pension No. 29823 application of Caroline Dozier, Widow at Crenshaw County AL witnessed by Jno. F. Lowman and P.H. Bryan (both also formerly of Co. C)

Another cemetery researcher provided the following information for a burial for "Elias Dozier," located in Dozier Cemetery at Dozier, Crenshaw County, Alabama, who has a Veterans marker inscribed for him as:

Lieut Col - 1 Batt Ala Mil
Confederate States Army
Aug 30 1829-Apr 8 1886

Can anyone shed some light or documentation for the militia service indicated?
