It's worth following up, for sure, as family lore has my Alexander Aulcey Carter born in Alabama but likely married in Mississippi. His oldest child shows to have been born in MS, but his second child shows to have been born in AL. So, if these facts are true, he would have moved back to Alabama after his first child was born.
