Individual companies assigned to this regiment were ordered to assemble at Shorter Station. This was only the rendezvous and camp for the 17th Alabama Regt.

The "Scotland Invincibles" came from Monroe County. Stockton, located in northwest Baldwin along the Tensas River, really isn't that far from Monroeville.
