Col. Thomas H. Rosser appears to have been an officer of the Missouri State Guard. Have you posted an inquiry about him on the Missouri message board?

Rosser was assigned to duty as post commander at Memphis TN, Apr. 19, 1862, Gainesville AL, June 12, 1862, and finally at Selma AL, Oct. 4, 1863.

Unconfirmed family connections are as follows --

Thomas H. Rosser (1814-1891, son of Thomas Oglesby Rosser and Nancy Tweedy); married Martha Jane Gilbert (born 1820 in Pittsylvania County, Va.).
