My dad and I are speechless. I called him with the information you provided. In one week, we have learned that Dad's Ggrandmother had been previously married by finding an old letter in a box. The letter made reference to Lucy A Williams' sons' father dieing in the Civil War. She remarried about a year later to her cousin, James Addison Williams and since H J Williams son, Alonzo, had the same last name, no one ever thought anything about it. No one in the family ever talked about it and it was assumed that all the kids were James Addison Williams'.
Dad grew up with the youngest of the children. The only clue he had growing up was when Lucy and James Addison passed away, there was some whispering about not telling Alonzo so he wouldn't ask for anything. Dad was young and thankfully has an incrediable memory so when we found the letter....he started remembering "the whispering".
We are both very appreciative to you for the information.
