Are you sure he was killed during the battle, or could he have been wounded and sent to one of the many hospitals south of Atlanta, and died from his wounds there?? I am doing some research in the Confederate Cemeteries in Newnan, Griffin, and LaGrange. There are over 500 Confederate graves in Griffin, over 300 in LaGrange and around that number in Newnan.
