Several days ago I received a letter from a Vicksburg NPS
Historian. Incuded was a copy of a newspaper account of
several CS Generals killed in Vicksburg. In regard to Garrott-a person at those house he had been buried thought
that his remains were removed to Alabama-although she had
not seen it. Now I think-in light of the footnote by Warner
and the NPS listing that Garrott was probably buried at
Soldiers Rest Cemetery-probably in an unknown grave-as
NPS Shows no plot #.
