All of those on the orginal roll were from the Army of Pensacola. Twelve-month enlistments hadn't expired, since most of these companies had organized in 1861. At this time (Nov.-Dec. 1861) Congress offered a fifty-dollar bounty and an extended furlough to soldiers who reenlisted.
