I'm sending you as email attachments the 1860 and 1870 censuses listing Isaac Winter. The 1860 census is for Cosa, AL and the 1870 census is for Montgomery, AL. He apparently survived the war. There is no doubt this is the same man as the ages are correct and his birthplace of "Prussia" is the same on both.
