I have recently received some information from Greg Green of Calhoun, GA. This information is excerpts of material from a Master's Thesis produced more than fifteen years ago. The subject of the Master's Thesis appears to be the "North Sumter Rifles" of Sumter Co., AL (aka, Company "A", 5th Alabama Battalion).

Greg's information comes from a Jud Arrington of York, AL. Mr. Arrington was in his 70's in the mid-80's. I would like to contact Mr. Arrington or his family. Also, is anyone aware of this Master's Thesis about the North Sumter Rifles? Any help is appreciated.
