The 24th Ms Cav Bn was organized with 6 companies from Moorman's Battalion on January 24, 1865. It served with Wirt Adams' Brigade, Chalmers Division, Forrest's Cavalry Corps, Department of Alabama, Mississippi and East Louisiana from February-April, 1865. Its battles are listed as Wilson's Raid (March-April,1865) and Selma (April 2, 1865).
