I don't think that it has anything to do w/ Bishop Libscomb. He has provided programs in Mobile about Father Ryan so my suspicions are that he is astute about Confederate History.

Having had this response with a few ancestors, my suspicion is that there were no other available records at ADAH and it properly referred you to the National Archives.
