I'm trying to find out if my ggggrandfather, Levin Layfield, was killed in the Civil War. There is no record of him after the war was over. He lived in Taylor County, GA but fought with Hillard's Legion, 3rd BN, Vol Co. F. I've exhausted the Library's resources and would like to know if someone has a listing of Alabama soldiers killed in the war. Any assistance is most appreciated.
