Harry Stinson18th AlabamaSat Sep 9 16:21:26 2000 I too have a GGUncle that served in Comp I of the 18th,...John Stinson. On a recent visit to Shiloh, I asked the librarian if there was any material on the 18th. He presented me with a small blue folder type book. It was compiled by the AL Div of the United Daughters of Confederacy. In it were muster rolls on all the companies. As far as Comp I goes,..I was able to view the rolls from Dec 31st-Aug 31 1862, with specific info on promotions, trasfers, etc. Give them a try, and good luck.P.S. There were many smaller engagements after Shiloh in North AL and MISS in 1862. The 18th was engaged at Blackland Miss and suffered some loss. Some history of the 18th.
