Yes, the online collection is great. Even better is to see them in person in the archives at Montgomery! Plus, they have an incredible collection of other civil war items. They have an impressive collection of guns. They have a nice collection of authenticated uniforms, as well. Plus many personal items of famous, and not famous, Alabama soldiers. What impressed me the most, perhaps, was the hand grenade. I had seen pictures of them, but never seen one in person before or since in any other collection. Really rare and unusual!
