I don't have my file with me, but as I recall, several people were involved in the recruitment and organization of the 7th Ala. Cav. who were never actually members. I guess that you would consider these officers as "recruitment officers". Usually, those that recruited became part of the regiment. Again, if I recall correctly, in this case some did not.
