Naftel, Ala is located at the junction of Montgomery, Lowndes, Pike and Butler counties as the county borders existed in 1860. On today's map Naftel would lie in Montgomery Cty near the border of Lowndes Cty and just north of the Crenshaw Cty border. The following infantry regiments were organized in Montgomery Ala, but many other infantry regiments had companies from the above counties. 1,3,5,10,13,17,18,20,22,23,53,57,59,60.
