The info I've come across indicates that the Company used BOTH "Bartow Avengers" and "Bartow Rangers". Don't know when or why the change. - UNLESS - During their time at Mobile, while doubling as artillery, they were refered to as the "Pinto Battery" (Pinto Island was the location of a fortified battery defending the mouth of the Mobile and Spanish Rivers). POSSIBLY they used one name before and the other after their assignment at Mobile?
