Ray,

Pretty tall order there; I would start by
going to Ken Jones' excellent page and try
to familiarize myself with the rgts and their
activities during the war:

www.tarleton.edu/~kjones/

It is a proven fact that the best place to
research a Soldier is at the state archives
in the state in which he first enlisted; at
ADAH in Montgomery, you should be able to
locate muster rolls, compiled service records,
1907 County Census Records and what I feel are
the most revealing documents; and that is a
Pension Application that may have been filed
by the Veteran or his Widow; copies may be
ordered from:

www.archives.state.al.us/referenc/request.html

As a last resort, you can deal w/ the Natl
Archives, but I have found on occasion that
you can buy a real "pig in a poke there".

Lots of luck and please advise if I can be
of further service.

Homer
