I'm not familiar with the name "Skinner's Farm", but the action should be described in any of the sources for units serving in Gracie's Brigade. In brief, on March 14, 1865, Alabamians of this brigade were pulled out the salient they had held since the previous summer and moved to a position near Hatcher’s Run. Pickets were placed along that stream near a dwelling called the Crow House. A Federal advance against this line on March 25, 1865, encountered stern resistance and was turned back.
