Evidently so. I've added a few notes about this Florida company from my records:

Company "B" of Jackson County, Florida "Marianna Dragoons"

Richard L. Smith. Formerly Captain of Company "A", Murphy's Florida-Alabama Cavalry Battalion. Surrendered at Quincy, Florida, May 11, 1865.

This command mustered at Marianna, Florida, March 14, 1862. Members served for a brief time in the summer of 1863 as Company "A", Murphy's Florida-Alabama Cavalry Battalion. Captain Smith reported a variety of weapons in use by his company on July 21, 1863, including Maynard carbines, sporting rifles and muskets. He requisitioned grain for 85 horses at Halls Mills, Alabama, February 1, 1864. This was somewhat higher than the normal company strength of about 75 horses. Early service records of this company are found Microcopy M251(Florida), reel 19.
