That helps! Here's a little about the company and Captain Gaston:

Company “F” of Madison County

Oliver B. Gaston. Formerly Captain of Company “F”, 15th Tennessee Cavalry Battalion. Captured in Marshall County, Alabama, December 15, 1863. Died of disease at Fort Delaware, Delaware, August 6, 1864.

Company officers were elected at Huntsville, Alabama, September 8, 1862, mustering at Taylor’s Store, Tennessee, as Company “F”, 15th Tennessee Cavalry Battalion. Members surrendered with consolidated Company “A”.

The regiment organized at Columbia TN about Nov. 23, 1862, and went into west Tennessee with Forrest on his raid through that part of the state during December 1862. Members had returned to the Columbia area to rest and regroup prior to the attempt to capture Fort Donelson at the end of January 1863.
