My grandfather, Henry Hammett Co. K 44th Alabama Infantry, died July 15, 1864 at Howard's Grove hospital in Richmond. He was wounded at Petersburg. Is there any way to possibly find the burial location for soldiers that died there during that time period? Would certainly appreciate any help that might help me find his grave site.
