Here's a summary of this company and its captains:

Company “G” of Tuscaloosa County “Tuscaloosa Rifles”

James H. McMath. Killed at Frazier’s Farm, Virginia, on June 30, 1862.
John B. Hughes. Elected Captain November 7, 1862, to rank July 30, 1862. Wounded at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 3, 1863. Captured at Fussell’s Mill, Virginia, August 16, 1864; exchanged near City Point, Virginia, October 15, 1864. Surrendered April 9, 1865, at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia.

Previously known as the “Northport Rifles”, this command mustered June 11, 1861, at Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

As I recall, Captain McMath has a stone in the old Tuscaloosa city cemetery. There's also a well-known Don Troiani painting titled "Southern Cross" which illustrates the fighting between the Pennsylvania Bucktails and the 11th Alabama over the guns of Randol's Battery at Frayser's Farm.

Here's that painting used in a recent cover by North & South Magazine:

There's a great deal of information available on the 11th Alabama and Wilcox's Brigade. What do you really want to know?
