Ken...

I have been researching the 9th Alabama for some time, so I have a few suggestions where to look for the burials. The soldier who was ill at Yorktown probably would have been taken to Richmond and later buried at Oakwood or Hollywood Cemeteries. I have not heard of burials on the Peninssula itself. Most all of the soldiers wounded in and around Richmond and on the Peninsula were sent to hospitals in Richmond and to the above mentioned cemeteries when they died. The soldier who was wounded at Salem Church probably went to a hospital in Culpeper or Orange County, Virginia and would therefore be buried near the hospital in one of those counties. I do not see his name listed in the roster of those Confederate soldiers who were buried in Culpeper at Fairview Cemetery. I doubt he was hospitalized or buried in Fredericksburg. The last soldier mentioned who was wounded and captured at Williamsburg probably went to Capitol Prison in Washington, D.C., especially if he was an officer. Fort Delaware might also be a possibility. A member of the 9th Alabama who was captured during the Seven Days was sent to Washington, D.C. and exchanged a month later.

I hope this helps.
