Of the more than 600 men in this Union rgt,
at least half were from the State of Ala;
I have the company muster rolls if anyone
is missing a Confederate Soldier from south
Ala who may have deserted during the course
of the war; most did not return to the state
following the war for fear of reprisal by
families of those who they had victimized.
