mr. Adams, It is my understanding that Truss Van, T.G. and Thomas E. were nephews of my T.E.. I didn't know they served so THANK YOU FOR THE INFO! The info I have on a T.E. Gilchrist being in Stuart's Battalion came from a copy of a letter dated 1933 from the U.S. War Dept. Problem is, without an age or SOMETHING I can't confirm he is my great grandfather.
