You confirmed what I suspected--died. His record seems
strange in that he went almost immediately from Mobile to an Atlanta hospital.

Doesn't sound as if I'm going to get my money's worth on that record! That seems to always be the case with the ones I do order.

I haven't figured out who J. C. Martin is yet. He doesn't seem to fit in my tree yet.

Went to the library today seeking to find widow Easley on the 1866 Alabama census. What a joke! I couldn't read it, but they asked wonderful questions that would have provided good information regarding soldiers--had I been able to read it. Also, looked at the 1870 census to see if I could find the remnants of K. W. Easley's family, but I didn't see anything promising. So, I'm back to square one--LOST!
May never know for sure whether K. W. Easley married George A. Martin's sister!
