The site mentioned by Homer is among the best regimentals around. That being said, except for adjutants, there appears to be little or nothing on the 24 men who served as staff officers. Also, two commands were designated Company "M", 6th Alabama Infantry, during the career of this regiment. The site lists one but doesn't seem to provide organizational information on any company. I hope that information will be added in the very near future.

Here's the requested information as well as data on captains of both companies. 'DAB' references Owen's Dictionary of Alabama Biography; 'UA' is used to designate the officer's class at the University of Alabama.

First Company “M” from Autauga County, the “Autauga Rifles”

Thomas Asbury Davis. Discharged after a twelve-month term. Later served as Surgeon of this regiment. [DAB3:460]
Lewis Alexander Pou. Elected Captain April 28, 1862. Wounded and disabled at Seven Pines, Virginia, May 31, 1862. Resigned October 11, 1862. [UA/58]
Green Hill Thompson. Promoted Captain [March 30,] 1863, to rank October 11, 1862. Surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia, April 9, 1865. [DAB4:1668]

This company offered its services to the governor April 27, 1861, and was accepted two days later at Independence, Alabama. It entered Confederate service on May 22, 1861, leaving Montgomery, Alabama, May 30, 1861. Members were sworn in at Corinth, Mississippi, June 2, 1861. Known as Company “L” until October of 1861, the company reorganized as 2nd Company “G” April 28, 1862.

Second Company “E” from Lowndes County, the “Hayneville Guard”

James J. Willingham. Elected Lieutenant Colonel April 28, 1862.
Milledge Langdon Bowie. Elected Captain April 28, 1862. Wounded at Sharpsburg, Maryland, September 17, 1862. Wounded and disabled at Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia, May 12, 1864. Paroled June 23, 1865, at Montgomery, Alabama. [DAB3:180]

This company entered state service at Hayneville, Alabama, April 17, 1861, and mustered at Montgomery, Alabama, May 16, 1861. Members reorganized as 2nd Company “M” April 28, 1862, including some of Captain Johnson’s new recruits, most of whom mustered as 3rd Company “K”, 5th Alabama Infantry Regiment.
