I had an opportunity to view some of this microfilm yesterday. Of course it lists Nitre & Mining Bureau personnel from most Confederate states; quite a few from Alabama. Some of the Federal prisoner-of-war entries describe captured Alabamians in DeKalb County as N&M personnel, but attached notes say they are suspected of attempting to form a company of bushwhackers!
