Illinois holdings revisited.

Here are the Confederate flags that Illinois admits to having:

66th Georgia [Infantry?]

Madison Light Artillery Battery, Louisiana

Unk. Missouri Guard unit

46th Mississippi Infantry

Robertson Cavaliers [unit origin unk.]

Barlow's Louisiana Batttery

Garrison flag of Fort Blakely, Mobile, Alabama

32nd Regiment Alabama Volunteer Infantry [disputed on this board]

3rd Louisiana Volunteers, the 2nd Arkansas Mounted Rifles, the 4th Arkansas Volunteers, 21st Arkansas Volunteers or the 14th Arkansas Volunteers

That's a pretty long list right there. Now, as to Union flags, the Illinois Archives has *many*. I have not been able to ascertain just how many, but it is a *lot*!

I think that my eye witness saw the whole lot of flags (Union and Confederate) together in the warehouse and took them all to be Confederate (I think that I previously mentioned that some were furled and some were in tubes).

However, there *were* definitely more Confederate flags in the Archive's possession (according to the witness). He unequivocally stated that he *knew* of multiple flags that had been misappropriated as personal property by various officials over the years. An early listing by the C.C.C. would by very interesting to acquire!
