After reading these links, I'm more concerned about Corridor 7 broadening Ala. 72 to four lanes between Tuscumbia and the Mississippi line. That could impact several battlegrounds, not only those fought over during Dodge's expedition of April 1863, but also Sherman's expedition of October 1863 and several others.

As for Corridor 11, here are David Sturm's remarks from that page:

In other words, Corridor 11 will likely be about the last thing Alabama will spend money on as an Interstate.
It seems more likely that Alabama will four lane the existing two-lane highways (Alabama 24, U.S. 72A, and Alabama 35) if there is no federal money. If federal money is available, then the gaps in Corridor 11 will probably be limited access. If this route ever is done....

This is the proposed route from Red Bay to Decatur. These are comments made in 1998, and a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. If there's anything new, we'd be interested. I may have overlooked the precise location of Fort Rose in relation to proposed construction; I'm assuming it's near Brown's Ferry....
