Thanks so much for your information. Unfortunately for me, Glenda's book is on the First Alabama Cav. U.S.A. She is so knowledgeable and kind to others searching for ancestors on-line. My great grandfather fought for the south, and there is a wonderful web site by Mr. Wright on the First Alabama Cavalry, C.S.A, though I don't if a book has ever been written about this regiment. Thanks again for responding.
