The facts (numbers)mean nothing. I stated that as an un-verified fact, that is all I knew it to be. It was sent to me for researching but I do not do that sort of thing.It was a head scratcher. The Klan name? Glad Hoyt made the meeting, I went by what I was taught in school. As for the Black SCV camp, etc. I know about that firsthand. Now about the Black Union soldiers at Vicksburg. I can send anyone a copy of the article I have.(The Sun Herald, Friday, March 16, 2001) I do not argue how accurate it is, but it states in part "no records show blacks involved in the battle of Vicksburg except for the South. Black federal troops were believed to be in the campain preliminaries near Millikens Bend Louisiana." I was wrong about the money, it's $275,000.
