Hello,

Your scenario is indeed possible to a point. When the regiment gathered, in lieu of a regular battle flag (a First National at that point), one of the compnay flags could have been chosen to be regimental colors. This did happen - and the Yellow Hammer flag may have been chosen at this time for the 35th Alabama - but until other information pops up I would say it as "maybe".....
