I'm a miniaturist, hoping to find answers and/or online images of the uniform details and physical characteristics of Major General Wilson as he would of appeared during the "Alabama Raids" of 1865. What type of insignia would be on his kepi(Forage cap?). On pg 98 Of Time/Life "Echoes of Glory-Union" is a picture of Meade's kepi as a Major General (a blacker version of Meade's Hat also appears in the W. Davis Trilogy on pg 19 of Commanders) - did Wilson wear the same kind?
The hair and eye colour of Maj. Gen Wilson?
What sword type/pattern/style did he carry?
I only have two images of Wilson (both B/W); one sitting with Sheridan - his kepi is indistinguishable; the other bareheaded.
