I'm writing a book about the men of Pickens County in the Civil War, and attempting to identify as many men as possible. Gen. Will T. Martin's Escort Company had 13 men from Greene County (and I suspect that one of these was actually from Pickens County) and 6 men from Pickens County. I did not copy down those from Sumter County.
