Looking For Information on Lumsdens Battery

Hello,
I used to live on a street called Lumsdens Battery Circle in Mobile, Alabama. I heard tale that it was the actual site of the Lumsdens Battery camp. I know that there was a small cannon in one of my neighbors yard and an old slave bunkhouse that was still standing for years while I lived there but the neighbors didnt have to much information nor did I really care when I was young. I would like to know if anyone has any information on this historic site and if it has been combed for historic relics ??? I would like to go out there and look around. Thanks for any help that you may offer.
