Great idea, hope you follow through on it. Don't forget Lawrence County's rich sites, some of which follow:

(1)Roddey birthsite, downtown Moulton
(2)Kinloch/Kinlock tract, home of David Hubbard, Indian Affairs Commissioner of the CSA
(3)Fort Rose (Union)
(4)Pond Spring Plantation where many CSA soldiers surrendered and Joe Wheeler later lived
(5)Homesite of Leroy Pope Walker, CSA Sec. of War and Brig. Gen. He started his political career here.
(6)Moulton birthsite of Brig. Gen. John Gregg (of TX fame)who died during the war. Gregg Co. TX is named for him.
(7)Plantation of Gov. D.P.Lewis, member of the Peace Society who later went behind Northern lines until the surrender.
... And many more. For more details please contact me.
