I have a W. Rencher pvt. Co C 1st Al. inf. National Archives Box, Roll and Number 000374, 0037, 00003246. Thes numbers may be useful if you are near a regional Office of the National Archives, such as in Atlanta, Dallas, KC etc. His compiled service records are available from the Al. Dept of Archives and History, or possibly in the B'ham library.

R. Williams a different story. Only 826 R. Williams listed. none form 7 Al. Cav. Few form Al. One with 1 al Cav. and one with 7th Confederate Cav. (he was from N. C. the best I could tell) Have you got another name or middle initial for him?
