what Oliver book? I am researching my Olivers and am wondering if the two families connect in any way. My gggfather was T.Y.Oliver (b.1817 S.C. d.1884 Al). He was a pvt.in the 23rd Ala infantry Co."A" (volunteers)1862-1864. My understanding is that this co. later joined with other companies sometime during the war. I would like to learn more about his time in the army. He was mustered out after being captured and released due to some kind of unjury I think. The papers that I sent for from the National Archives were exactly the same as the ones I copied at the library, and I had sent for the "complete" records that they have. Anyway I thought I would see if maybe there might be a connection with your Olivers. Thanks for any information you might share. Wanda
