Hi Jim,

Thanks for the information on the new book on the 5th Alabama Battalion. I will order a copy. Also, I will be interested hearing about anything else you find on the unit.

We have corresponded before. My g.g. grandfather was Sgt. August W. Bryant who was in Company B (Calhoun Sharpshooters) in the 5th Alabama Battalion. I have some information on his military service, photos, and copies of two poems he carried during the war. I will share those with you if you like.
