Edwin Booth

Nora,

I contact Terry Foenander who owns the "U.S. Civil War Navies" website you referenced about your query. Here is his response:

Jim,
Is she actually looking for information on Nanna Hubba Bluff, or on
surgeon Edwin Booth?
I do have reference sources with details on Edwin Booth. He is
mentioned a couple of times in the Naval Official Records, and then I have
the volume, REGISTER OF OFFICERS OF THE CONFEDERATES STATES NAVY, 1861-1865,
which shows that he was born and appointed from Virginia, and that he had
also served (besides the SELMA) aboard the BEAUFORT, MORGAN and TUSCALOOSA,
and there are other details of his service. If I remember correctly, there
are also references to him in Porter's NAVAL HISTORY OF THE CIVIL WAR and
Scharf's HISTORY OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES NAVY, both volumes of which are
also in my collection.
Please let me know exactly what she is searching for, and I can look up
the information in my volumes, and other sources I currently have at hand.
Regards,
Terry.
