I thought some of you might be interested in a discussion that we've been having over on the Mississippi Civil War board (http://misscivilwar.org/wwwboard/general/) regarding Tuscaloosa Grey Wool.

We now have identified an article of clothing (Gen. R.E. Lee's hat) which was made from this material. We also have found a color photo of the hat, so all the old arguments about Tuscaloosa Grey Wool can now, hopefully, be laid to rest.
